Historical Society Tour of Homes

Gary and Christi Johnson - House #3
4257 Glass Factory Bay

There is limited parking at this home, so you might want to take the shuttle from White Springs Winery.

Visitors to this house will enjoy the designing skills of Gary Johnson, who took a dream and made it a lakeside reality three years ago. The house is a fine example of the open floor plan concept, with hardwood floors leading the eyes to windows highlighting the natural beauty of Seneca Lake.

The kitchen features an exciting use of custom cabinetry, in effect hiding the appliances which are made by Wolf. The cherry wood kitchen has a protective finish, too. Lovely cabinets can be seen everywhere; the desk in the office even has a Corian top. The deck on the eastside of the house measures 12 feet by 54 feet and provides a comfortable outdoor experience.
After leaving the maintenance-free concrete board-sided house, feel free to walk the grounds to enjoy the flowers. Wander down by the cozy cottage which serves as a guest house and delight in the ambience of Seneca Lake.

Extra Fun: as if you could miss him, stop for a few moments and enjoy the antics of Harley, the family’s white cockatoo. With a vocabulary of more than 100 words, he just might have something interesting to say.
